The Challenge

AP Emissions Technologies arrived at AAPEX 2025 with a powerful story to tell. As part of the Associated Parts Group, the brand carries nearly a century of manufacturing heritage while continuing to innovate in emissions and automotive systems.

From a booth designer’s perspective, the challenge was balance. The exhibit needed to honor long-standing credibility while presenting a modern, forward-looking presence. It had to support multiple brands, products, and conversations—without becoming visually crowded or confusing. In a high-traffic, competitive AAPEX environment, clarity and scale were essential.

The Solution

Star Incorporated designed the AP Emissions Technologies booth as a bold architectural environment that communicated confidence, history, and innovation through structure and flow.

Design Solutions Implemented

  • Overhead Brand Architecture: A large, suspended header system established immediate visibility across the show floor. Messaging like “Quality Manufacturing Since 1927” anchored the booth in heritage while reinforcing trust and longevity.

  • Multi-Brand Integration: The layout seamlessly incorporated multiple AP brands under one cohesive design language. Clear signage and consistent materials helped visitors quickly understand brand relationships without visual clutter.

  • Two-Story Engagement Structure: The second-level space added vertical presence and created separation between open product exploration and focused conversations. This layered approach allowed the booth to support both traffic flow and privacy.

  • Product-Focused Display Zones: Glass cases and illuminated product displays brought emissions components into sharp focus. Each zone was designed to highlight engineering detail and craftsmanship.

  • Heritage Feature Moment: A vintage race car display served as a storytelling anchor—connecting AP’s manufacturing legacy to modern performance and innovation.

  • Clear Circulation Paths: Open walkways and intuitive entry points guided attendees naturally through the booth, encouraging exploration without congestion.

Why It Worked

The booth succeeded because the design carried the same values as the brand. Strong structure communicated scale and authority, while disciplined layouts kept the experience approachable.

Attendees could immediately understand AP Emissions Technologies’ role in the automotive ecosystem—past, present, and future—simply by moving through the space. The environment supported education, conversation, and brand confidence at every turn.
